About the car
The McLaren MCL40 is a Formula One car designed and built by McLaren under the direction of Rob Marshall to compete in the 2026 Formula One World Championship. It is driven by reigning world champion Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri in their eighth and fourth seasons with the team respectively. As of the 2026 Mexico City Grand Prix, it has achieved two Grand Prix victories, three Grand Prix pole positions, seven Grand Prix podiums, two Grand Prix fastest laps, one sprint pole position, one sprint win, five sprint podiums and two sprint fastest laps.
